I love Blue Oyster Cult. Always did. I remember being 14 years old and rushing to the record store to buy Fire of Unknown Origin the second it hit the shelf. I still have that copy. The corners are a little dog-eared and the shape of the vinyl record (what’s that??) within can be seen wearing its way through the cover. I’ve purchased that record two more times since. Once when CDs became all the rage, and again on iTunes (I was too lazy to rip a copy from CD).
Ok - what’s my point? I know I had one but I got a little carried away with the memories. Oh yes - song lyrics. While I love BOC, can I throw some of my favorite lyrics from “Don’t Fear the Reaper” into my manuscript?
I ran across this article from Brian Klems which explains it perfectly. It’s field trip time. Check it out and let me know what you think.
More cowbell!

It would be worth it if the letter you received for using Yellow Submarine came form Paul Macartney but from his lawyer?….nehhhh
